CFO Needed Quickly as Most Senior Financial Executive No Longer Available

Client needed to hire a new CFO quickly as most senior level finance executive had to resign due to an illness.  Client’s previous experiences with search firms were lousy. They had always hired locally but were frustrated because the firms never visited even though they were within driving distance to the company headquarters. Client was very against using executive search firms, once bitten twice shy!

Challenge

How to develop trust with an organization not interested in using search firms, getting them to understand that ASCENT Select is very different and we will exceed expectation.

Solution

We flew from the East Coast to Northern California to meet with the CEO, COO and other senior executives to discuss the position in detail including cultural fit. We met a variety of team members, toured the facilities and continued discussions over dinner. As a result of our trip we developed a terrific feel for the company, and knew exactly the type of person (technically and culturally) for the role. We customized our search agreement and search process to meet our clients specific needs which included our double guarantee.

Results

Within 10-days of our visit we presented CFO level professional candidates that were completely vetted to include; technical, cultural, education and employment verification and informal reference checks.
